About
Our Story
Founded by brothers David and Adam Tyney, Dorsia is built on a shared belief that great wine begins in the vineyard. Organic farming is the backbone of everything we do – a philosophy that guides us to work with nature, not against it.
We nurture our Marlborough vineyards with care and respect, ensuring the land remains healthy and balanced for generations to come. From this approach, we harvest grapes of the finest quality – fruit that speaks clearly of its origin.
Our wines are vibrant, expressive, and true to the land they come from. Each bottle carries the character of our vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau and Southern Valleys, reflecting the purity, energy, and authenticity of this remarkable region.
Indulge in the refined elegance of Dorsia wines, a true reflection of Marlborough, New Zealand’s pristine beauty.
Our Vineyard
We have two main soil types, our upper terrace is predominantly clay, this enhances the riper fruit spectrum and provides powerful palate weight while our bottom terrace is stoney gravels and loam, which pushes a riper fruit spectrum whilst retaining freshness and palate definition.
Our home vineyard is organically farmed, prioritising environmental sustainability. We plant cover crops which promotes soil health and biodiversity, and, use subsurface irrigation which conserves water and encourages deeper, healthier root development. Higher vine density provides optimal fruit to vine balance which intensifies flavour and give expression of terroir.
